A rotameter is a device for measuring the flow of liquids and gases based on the principle of a constant pressure drop. The structural component in its main part consists of an expanding conical tube and a float enclosed in it. For visual monitoring of the flow readings, a tube made of transparent material with a measuring scale individually applied to it is used. The calibration and scale step are developed for the required type of the measured medium. In the case when the tube is made of metal, the flow data is transmitted to a mechanical or electronic indicator.
